Itinerary

Day 1

On your arrival at Athens Airport you will be greeted by our English speaking driver and be transferred in air conditioned, modern, Mercedes comfort to the hotel of our choice. The rest of the day is yours to settle in, freshen up and become acclimatized with the busy, bustling streets of Athens. We suggest that you head for the Plaka area of Athens at the foot of the Acropolis where you can take in the wonderful array of shops, bars and restaurants and see Athens at its very best.

Day 2

The day starts with an early breakfast after which you will be collected from your hotel for a half day sightseeing tour of Athens. Travelling by air conditioned coach our English speaking guide will show you around the main modern and ancient sights of this wonderful city. Visit Syntagma Square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier whilst the traditionally dressed guards stand sentinel. See the Olympic Stadium, home of the Modern Olympic Games and the Temple of Zeus. The tour finishes with the crowning jewel of Athens, the Acropolis, which sits high over Athens. The tour takes you all over this most sacred of sites and full explanations are given of the temples in the site.
After the tour you will be returned to your hotel, where you will check out and be taken to the airport for your flight, or to the port for your sailing to Mykonos. In arrival at Mykonos you will be met and greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You will have six nights at this establishment and we are sure you will love our selection of hotels.
You will feel the vibe that is the heart and soul of this magical and cosmopolitan island. The rest of the day is yours to do with as you wish, whether that be sitting by the pool relaxing or wandering the labyrinthine streets. Find your dinner in one of the many international standard restaurants in the town. The fun begins this evening.

Day 3

Day three provides you with a view into ancient Greece like no other. After breakfast our representative will transfer you to the old port for you half day tour of Delos. The centre of the Cyclades Islands, birthplace of the gods Apollo and Artemis and uninhabited for over a thousand years, Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. Our English speaking guide will show you around the magnificent ruins of Delos Island, a short boat ride away from Mykonos. Marvel at time standing still on this piece of uninhabited beauty. You will return to Mykonos late afternoon where you are free to spend the afternoon as you choose, wandering back to your hotel after a spot of supper in one of the many cafes, or maybe a trip to the boutiques that line the narrow streets.

Day 4

Today you experience Mykonos in a completely different way, by taking a cruise in a caique, or fishing boat around the island. Leaving after breakfast the tour takes you around Mykonos, relaxing on board, stopping at isolated beaches and witnessing the more popular places too. You will also visit the nearby island of Dragonissi, where some of the best snorkelling can be done. If the weather permits you can swim into the caves that line the island. A lunch of barbequed meat, salad, ouzo, retsina and mezes is served at one of the cafes on the way. A traditional way to relax and unwind away from the crowds, this will be a memorable trip. On returning to your hotel, relax some more, maybe taking a swim in the pool before returning to the town later in the evening for dinner and dancing.

Day 5

Today is a free day, yours to do as you please. There is much to do in the town, from taking a meal in the Little Venice area, overlooking the sea and the windmills, after which you can go shopping in the many exclusive boutiques. The gold shopping is particularly fine. The nightlife is something to behold as well, and the streets throb with the music of the clubs until into the small hours of the night. For many, getting lost among the narrow winding streets, meeting up with Petros the Pelican, taking in the colourful balconies and whitewashed houses is an experience in itself. You also have the very valid option if sitting by your hotel pool, relaxing in the Aegean sunshine and making the best of the day by enjoying the views by the pool.

Day 6

In the morning we will arrange for a small hire car to be delivered to you so that you can explore the island at your won pace. The beaches on the other side of the island are magical, and Elia and Super Paradise beaches have some of the best swimming around. You can also get out to the township of Ornos, or go up to the monastery in the middle of the island. The car can get you to more mainstream places such as the clubs at Paradise Beach or the gorgous bays at Agios Ioannis where fans of Shirley Valentine can sit at her beach at enjoy a drink. As this is your last night on the island, make the most of it having dinner at a favourite haunt before finding a club to enjoy your final evening.

Day 7

Depending on your international flight back home, we will issue your flight tickets back to Athens. After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, drive yourself to the airport, drop off the hire car and take your connecting flight back to Athens where you will connect on to your flight home. Please talk to us if you require and extra night in Athens.

Loved my experience with Antelope!

Anthony at Antelope Travel planned an AMAZING trip for my family. We spent two days in Athens and explored the historical sites there. Our tour guide for the Parthenon, Natassa, was awesome. She was so knowledgable about ancient Greece and we loved having her guide us through the ruins and the museum.
Next we went to Mykonos and had another amazing guide there named Jenny. She was funny and told us about the culture and history of the island. The hotel we stayed at was awesome and my two daughters loved the pool there. We took a yacht to a private island then toured Delos and really had a lot of family fun there. We also loved shopping in Chora and found that the island was easy to get around on the bus.
Our next stop was the breath taking island of Santorini where we stayed in a pituresque villa with our own swimming pool. The final day we took a catamaran cruise around the island, swam, snorkled and ended the trip with an amazing sunset.
Anthony thought of everything and planned our trip so well. I would recommend Antelope Travel to anyone wanting to explore the beauty that Greece has to offer.

Fantastic, beautifully organized trip to Greece

Anthony with Antelope was simply fantastic. He started by understanding the kind of vacation we wanted and then put together an itinerary that was just perfect for our needs. He was extremely responsive and worked hard to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. From the sunset Catamaran cruise and the excellent food tour with Dino in Santorini to the 3-day classical tour through mainland Greece and walking tour of Athens, every detail was well-planned and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for such a fantastic vacation! I would recommend Anthony and Antelope travel without hesitation.
