Itinerary

Day 1

Today's touring starts with you either being picked up from Kayseri Airport or from your existing Cappadocia hotel. You will be given a full day's tour of the valleys to see remnants of some of the older churches, rock formations and the Kaymakli Underground city. The latter is particularly impressive as you discover this incredible underground city where the early Christians once hid from their persecutors. Late in the afternoon you will be returned to your Cappadocia hotel for the evening. Lunch and dinner are included in today's itinerary.

Day 2

Day two of the tour has the option of taking a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia - an unforgettable experience for anybody who goes on this trip as the moonscapes of Cappadocia are like nowhere else in the world. This excursion entails a very early start, but it is very much worth the early rising. Please speak to us to arrange this excursion in advance. The rest of the day's touring starts later in the morning (dependent on the balloon riders return) when you will visit the valleys where animal-like natural formations like camels and fair chimneys are abundant. The fairy chimneys of Gorome only add to the landscape. The tour continues on to Pasabagi in Zelve area where monks used to live in seclusion in rock cut rooms. After this it is on to the pottery town of Avanos on the banks of the Kizilirmak (Hallys), the longest river of Turkey. The red clay from the riverbanks has been used for pottery for centuries. After lunch you will visit to Open Air Museum in Goreme to visit to the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. On the way back to Cappadocia you will stop at Pigeon Valley near Uchisar and you will be given some free time to do some shopping. All meals are provided today and dinner will be held at a restaurant near the hotel.

Day 3

After breakfast you will make your way to Ankara. The first stop is the century Agzikarahan Caravanserai, a place where camel caravans have traded for centuries - a fascinating morning for all. On arrival in Ankara you will visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum at which there are numerous remnants from Stone Age, Neolithic Age, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians and many other civilizations that have lived in the vicinity. Today's excursions give you an idea of the great history and fascinating cultures of this ancient land. Later you will visit the Citadel of Ankara and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey. Lunch will be provided. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to your hotel for a last overnight stay.

Day 4

After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to Ankara airport for you onward flight.

Amazing Travel Agency

Anthony and his team did an amazing job organizing our eight day trip to Mykonos and Santorini. They chose two excellent hotels that met our budget, and booked car transport and inter-island ferries for us. He also gave a bunch of great restaurant recommendations and was able to help us book a few last-minute items, including a wine tour! He also had local representatives on each island who we were able to call with random specific asks (e.g., last minute club reservations on Mykonos).

The only thing we'd change is that we wish we had been able to spend even MORE time in Greece! In fact, we're already hoping to take another trip next year, and if we do we'll definitely be using Anthony and team again!

Having worked with other travel agents in other regions who do not do nearly as good a job, we can honestly say we are really happy with our Antelope experience!

Perfect trip to Skopelos and Athens with walking tour of Athens

Anastasia at Antelope Travel organized an amazing trip that for us - we postponed it over 20 years and the trip planned with Anastasia lived up to the expectations.

We knew we were going to fly from the UK to Skiathos as we wanted to spend time on Skopelos. While I usually do all of our travel planning personally, we decided to give a travel agency a try at the recommendation of a friend. Everything was so simple and went so smoothly, with transportation arranged from plane and ferry to hotels, a car arranged while on Skopelos brought to the hotel, transportation from the ferry at Agios Konstantinos to Athens by Iannis, who was both a very friendly driver, and very knowledgeable, with recommendations and history information as he drove.

While in Athens we took the 5 hour walking tour of the Acropolis and museum led by Maria. She knew a few days in advance we needed to leave an hour earlier than planned and made sure we were in line just as the Acropolis opened, saving us hours of wait time. Without her knowledge both the site and the museum could have been overwhelming, but instead we felt like we understood both the ancient nature of the site, and the current archeological situation. She was outstanding.

The entire trip went without a hitch, and was simple so all we had to do was relax on the island and enjoy the sites in Athens. The hotels were lovely with great breakfasts. I would book with Antelope again the next time we go to Greece, they made it all so easy.
