Driving towards the Akrotiri peninsula, our first visit is to the monastery of Agia Triada Tzagarolon. Built in the 17th century, with a majestic cruciform church, it is set on a wonderfully overgrown landscape of olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees. We will visit the premises and learn about their great produce of organic olive oil and wine. Continuing our drive towards the verdant province of Apokoronas, we will stop by the Fortress of Koules, set on an impressive position with views over Souda Gulf. Our next stop is at the tiny Maheri, one of the most authentic and unspoilt Cretan villages for a stroll around its alleys and refreshments at a typical kafenion. The tour will then take us further inland and we will visit the studio of a known local ceramicist. The house, featured many times in Greek and international press, is an excellent example of traditional architecture, renovated in perfect harmony with the surrounding countryside. Continuing our scenic drive along the foothills of the White Mountains, we will stop for a delicious rustic meal at a family-run tavern, located on a privileged vista point overlooking the valley and the sea beyond. Late afternoon return at your hotel.
Anthony worked very closely with us to design a custom tour that was best suited to our particular needs and wants for our trip. His knowledge and expertise helped steer us to the best sites and experiences which was invaluable to exceeding our highest expectations. The selection of first class hotels, the pick up arrangements which were performed like clockwork, the knowledgeble and courteous guides all contributed to our total enjoyment.
Further we were kept informed by the guides of any advance arrangements all during the trip which as a retired business executive who values good communication greatly added to our pleasure and relaxation.
With respect to hotels, which were all great, the hotel in Santorini high up on the hillside with spectacular views of the harbor and sites was so breathtaking we were all blown away by it's unique character and beauty.
We would heartily recommend Antelope Travel, and in particular Anthony Alagiah, especially for their travels to Greece and also Turkey. It was a trip of a lifetime.

What did we like about Greece? The beauty, the people, the history, archaeology, mythology, the food, hospitality in hotels and restarants, everything!
Anthony from Antelope Travel planned the most wonderful vacation for us to Athens, Delphi and Meteora, Naxos, and Santorini. Everything went so smoothly from hotels, transfers, drivers, and tours. Everyone including drivers, hotel staff, and tour guides were gracious, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us happy. Antelope Travel is located in Athens and Anthony or representatives from the agency met us and were available in each location, so we felt secure knowing that there were people in Greece to reach out to. We highly recommend this agency to plan a custom trip of a lifetime. We have wanted to visit Greece for many years and were not disappointed. Loving beautiful Greece 🇬🇷 💙 Thank you, Anthony!
