Day 1

In the morning, you will be transfered to Athinios port, in order to embark on the traditional boat. The first stop is at the isle of NEA KAMENI, also known as the VOLCANO. There, you will have the chance to climb to the crater of the Volcano, passing by many sulfur vents. After 1 hour, the boat leaves the Volcano and heads to the small islet of PALAIA KAMENI or HOT SPRINGS, as it is called by the locals, formed by several Volcanic eruptions, with many hot springs along its coastline. There, you will have 30 minutes to swim in the warm yellow-green, from the sulfur waters considered to have healing powers. The next stop is at THIRASSIA, the second largest island after Santorini in the Caldera. The island, located opposite of Santorini, is a contrast to it, quiet and undeveloped, untouched by tourism. Here, you will have 2 hours free time to have lunch in one of the many small taverns, or swim in the crystal clear waters. Alternatively, you can walk or take a donkey ride to the top of the island and explore the capital, Manolas village. Afterwards, the boat leaves THIRASSIA and sailing along the coastline of Santorini, returns to Athinios port, where the buses will transfer you back to your hotel.

Incredible Trip!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Anthony & his entire team from the very start of our planning our vacation to Greece all the way through of traveling back home to Chicago. Anthony & his team ensured our entire trip was seamless. We started in Athens for 24 hours, then to Mykonos for 4 days and then Santorini for 4 days. The planning & attention to detail made the whole trip one of the best travel experiences of our life. Anthony & his team were referred to us by a couple of other friends who had also worked with them for their vacations to Greece over the past few years & we will continue referring Anthony to anyone we know who is traveling to Greece because of our incredible experience!

Planning excellence

My kids (18 & 20) and I had the most amazing 2-week trip to Greece May/June 2023. We were fortunate to have been introduced to Anthony Alagiah, who came highly recommended through a friend and colleague. I’m a researcher by nature, love planning trips and like to make very purposeful choices. What I lacked was local, expert perspective, and felt I wasn’t getting thorough, objective advice from my usual online sources. We had a clear itinerary, with details, contact names and numbers for every step of our trip - everything from start to finish ran smoothly and we felt very well cared for. The hotel choices, tours/guides and restaurant recommendations were excellent. Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime, and the planning from start to finish exceeded our expectations.
