Have you decided to travel to Greece in Winter? This package visits the two larger cities of Greece: Athens and Thessaloniki combined with Historical Delphi

Arriving at Athens airport you will be met by our English speaking transfer driver who will transfer you in a modern, air conditioned vehicle to your hotel of choice. This evening, your first in Greece, is your chance to roam this exciting and elegant city. We suggest taking a walk through the Plaka, the busy central area beneath the Acropolis, where you can find a meal in a traditional taverna and take in glory of Athens at its best. Accommodation at the 4* superior property The Athenian Callirhoe Hotel. Breakfast
Our English speaking licensed guide with excellent knowledge of Greek history will pick you up from the hotel for your half day tour of Athens. The tour includes a visit to: The Acropolis, the New Acropolis Museum, the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament and the Changing of The guards, the Temple of Zeus, and finally The Olympic stadium (the original stadium built in the 1863 for the first modern Olympic games in 1896). The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.Breakfast
Our driver will pick you up from the hotel in the morning and transfer through Levadia and Arachova, famous for its bright multi coloured carpets and handicrafts. Arriving in Delphi, you can visit the Ancient Sanctuary of Apollo. You can see the Delphi Museum among other archaeological treasures, the unique bronze charioteer, then proceed through the sacred way to the Athenian treasury and the Temple of Apollo. Delphi is one of the national treasures of Greece. You will return back to Athens late in the afternoon.
Early in the morning our English speaking driver will pick you up to transfer you in an air conditioned Mercedes to the airport where you will catch your flight to Thessaloniki. Upon arrival to the second largest city the driver will pick you up and transfer to the hotel. In the evening you can walk around the Plateia Aristotelous (Aristotelous Square), which stretches from the waterfront avenue of Nikis to the Panayia Halkeion Church. The upper town of Thessaloniki is also rather appealing with historical attractions such as cobblestone alleys, traditional houses and a rather beautiful Byzantine citadel. Accommodation in Thessaloniki
The day is free for you to explore the beautiful city. You may visit the White tower the symbol of Thessaloniki. Constructed in the 16th century by the Ottomans, it was used as a fortress, a prison and a University workshop. Today it hosts a museum. You may also visit the Palace of Galerius (Roman Market and Theatre) at Navarino Square and the church of Agia Sofia (8th century) which is a copy of the original Aghia Sophia in Constantinople.
