At the base of the Acropolis, the Plaka is a thriving centre of shops, restaurants and bars and it's the perfect place to visit on the first day of your vacation.

Your ferry trip will take you to through the blue waters of the Northern Aegean Sea. On arrival at Skiathos, you will be met and greeted by our representative and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. We suggest becoming acquainted with Skiathos town and the wonderful selection of restaurants and bars it contains along the foreshore, of which there are plenty and dance the night away in one of the many clubs on the island.

Day 3

After breakfast, you rental car will be delivered to your hotel. You now have the whole island at your disposal. Although Skiathos Town is the only large town on the island there is plenty to see and do around this lush, green island. We suggest travelling north to Kastro, where the ruined castle stands sentinel. It is a wonderous afternoon walking around the ruined castle that has been used as a stronghold for pirates over the centuries and it has some of the best views of the mainland. Your hire car can also help you to get away from the masses and let you find your own beach on which you can relax. Return to the town in the evening for dinner and dine on the fresh fish and traditional Greek food which can be found in abundance.

Day 4

You have another day to explore the wonders of Skiathos, and your options are limitless. The Bourzi which separates the old and new ports is a must to discover, walking around this important Skiathan site. You may wish to discover more of Skiathos Town, sit by your hotel pool and relax or take your hire car up into the hills, or find another beach. You have so many alternatives at your disposal. Skiathos is very tourist friendly and you will find all sorts of diversions in the town, but across the island, you can find traditional Greek experiences abundance.

Day 5

After breakfast you will check out of the hotel and return the hire car to the port. You will then board a ferry for the lush, green island of Skopelos. The second largest of the Sporades Islands, Skopelos has a feel all of its own, very different to that of Skiathos. On arrival at Skopelos, you will be met by our representative and transferred to you hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Wander the streets of Skopelos town, pondering the whitewashed houses with their red tiled roofs. Find your dinner in any one of the tradional restaurants in the town. Unlike Skiathos, Skopelos is a laid back place, quieter an more peaceful, so enjoy you serene surroundings.

Day 6

Skopelos is yours to explore for the day. After taking breakfast at your hotel it is up to you what you do, and this can be as little as relaxing by the hotel pool, or go exploring around the island. Skopelos is a larger island than Skiathos, but there are fewer people who live here, making it greener, and far more peaceful. Skopelos is a photographer's heaven, and you may wish to travel into the mountains or around the villages on the west coast of the island. Glossa is particularly beautiful at the island's Northern most tip. There are also Byzantine antiquities, smuggler's coves and quaint villages to discover around the island. Skopelos has received quite a bit of publicity since the release of the movie "Mamma Mia", and the monastery shown in the movie is on the sip is found at Agios Yiannis. Spend the evening relaxing in any one of Skopelo's traditional bars or restaurants. Please contact us if you would like to arrange additional car hire for this magical island.

Day 7

After breakfast you will check out of your hotel and be transferred to the port for your ferry trip to Alonisos. Relax and enjoy the short boat trip, watching the blue waters and keeping an eye out for the seals that live near the island. Alonissos is close to the marine reserve where all sea life is protected. On arrival at the port of Patitiri you will be met and greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to discover what this island has on offer. Quieter than both Skiathos and Skopelos, it has a charm all of its own. As fishing is one of the island's main activities, ensure your have a dinner of fresh fish while you are on the island.

Day 8

This day has been kept for you to explore this magical, green island. The town of Patitiri is not your normal Greek Island town as it was nearly destroyed in the earthquake of 1965. The town moved to safer ground after this, but the old town can be wandered about, a veritable ghost town and a photographer's paradise. Most of the island's best beaches are to the north and east of the island and there is regular public transport to these places. The island is also known for its wine and there are plenty of small wineries to visit in the hils. Or as this is your last island day, you may wish to just relax and enjoy island life. It is all up to you. Please contact us if you would like to arrange additional car hire so that you can see the best of this wonderful island.

Day 9

Your final day in the islands will see you having breakfast at your hotel and checking out before your transfer driver will take you to the port for the boat back to Agios Konstantinos. Again, take the chance to watch the islands pass you by, looking out for stray dolphins and seals. Once you arrive at the port, you will board the bus for the quick journey back to Athens and our driver will meet you at Kanigos Square and take you back to your hotel. There are no activities planned for the evening, but we suggest returning to the Plaka to get your land legs and enjoy some shopping and traditional Greek fare before an early night in preparation for the busy day ahead.

Day 10

After an early breakfast at your hotel you will be picked up at the hotel for your half day tour ofAthens. Travelling by air conditioned coach, you will be shown around the best of modern and ancient Athens, from the administrative centre of the city at Syntagma Square to the cities main squares and the home of the Modern Olympics, the Stadium built in the later part of the stadium. Marvel at the Parthenon and the other antiquities at this most ancient site as our guides provides more information about the history and importance of this sacred place. The Acropolis Museum is also worth a visit as it gives more close up detail of this site of wonder. After this tour you will be returned to your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or wander the streets of Athens. The National Archaeological Museum is a great place to visit on your own if you are into ancient history and archaeology. Early in the evening you will be collected from your hotel for your Athens by night tour. Travel down the illuminated, wide boulevards of Athens down to Piraeus and Marina Zea to view the luxury yachts that dock at this exclusive part of the city. Then it is back to the Plaka for a traditional meal in a taverna with Greek dancing to follow. You will be returned to your hotel late in the evening.

Day 11

On your final day, after breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight home.

Greece Family Trip of a Lifetime

Our family of 4 took an 8 day trip to Crete, Santorini and Athens… and we could not have done it without the planning, recommendations and assistance of Anthony and Antelope Travel. We gave Anthony our budget and a rough idea of what we wanted to do with our 2 kids (5 & 7) and he was able to create a trip of a lifetime. Whenever we needed a driver or some assistance, even a last minute restaurant recommendation Anthony and his team were readily available with great solutions. He really listens and can modify things to suit your particular needs. Everything was planned and went accordingly for us, including boarding passes to flights, ferries, booster seats in all vehicles, a private Greek mythology tour and tour of the Acropolis, winery tour and even a stunning catamaran ride in Santorini. We will 100% be recommending Antelope travel to all my friends and family. Thank you for such an incredible family vacation!

Trip of a Lifetime

What did we like about Greece? The beauty, the people, the history, archaeology, mythology, the food, hospitality in hotels and restarants, everything!
Anthony from Antelope Travel planned the most wonderful vacation for us to Athens, Delphi and Meteora, Naxos, and Santorini. Everything went so smoothly from hotels, transfers, drivers, and tours. Everyone including drivers, hotel staff, and tour guides were gracious, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us happy. Antelope Travel is located in Athens and Anthony or representatives from the agency met us and were available in each location, so we felt secure knowing that there were people in Greece to reach out to. We highly recommend this agency to plan a custom trip of a lifetime. We have wanted to visit Greece for many years and were not disappointed. Loving beautiful Greece 🇬🇷 💙 Thank you, Anthony!
