Two Days Meteora Tour - Excursions in Meteroa
Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos, and possibly one of the mountain's most awe inspiring sights.
Included is one overnight stay in hotel accommodation, entrance fees, breakfast and dinner or lunch.
Notice: This tour operates from 06 April - 29 October every Monday-Wednesday-Thursday in English. French every Monday and Wednesday.
From 04 Nov - 31 Mar 2010 it operates every Wednesday.
Day 1
On leaving Athens, the tour travels to Delphi through Levadia and Arachova. Spend an hour and a half in Delphi at your leisure. Departing to Kalambaka, the tour travels through the Central Greece towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala, crossing the Thessalian plains, the granary of Greece, to reach Kalambaka late afternoon. Dinner is in Kalambaka followed by an overnight stay in this wondrous town at the base of the mountains.
Day 2
In the morning, visit the breathtaking mountains and monasteries of Meteora and in the early afternoon start the drive back to Athens passing through Thermopylae and Kammena Vourla.
