Day 1

Constitution Square Drive through the picturesque marinas of Zea and Microlimano in Piraeus as your tour heads to the center of Athens.

You will have the opportunity to admire some of the most important sites of Athens, such as Constitution Square, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, Temple of Zeus, Royal Palace, and the Old Marble Olympic Stadium. The Acropolis is one of the most photographed and recognizable hills in the entire world. Sights include the Propylaea, Temple of Apteros Niki, Erectheum and Architectural Triumph of the Parthenon. Afterwards, you will have free time to wander around the picturesque streets of Plaka, the old preserved district of Athens with numerous art and craft shops, restaurants and cafes. You'll have plenty of free time for shopping or to independently enjoy Greek specialties at one of the traditional colorful taverns. After your wanderings at the old district of Athens, board your coach from a designated point at a set-up time for your return to the pier.

Note:

The Acropolis is explored on foot and requires approximately two hours of walking.

There are some 75 steps at the entrance and in certain locations the marble is uneven and slippery. We advise that you bring a bottle of water and suitable sun protection.

We worked with Anastasia at Antelope travel, who was amazing. She arranged a four hour tour in Athens and then 3 nights in Mykonos and 3 nights in Santorini. It was a truly amazing trip. All the guides hired by the travel agency (Athens and Delos day trip) were knowledgeable and friendly. The transfers and transportation was timely and efficient. The hotel in Mykonos (Myconian Imperial) was a real treasure.....we loved it. I rarely work with travel agents because I think I can do it on my own, but this trip was truly marvelous because of Anastasia's efforts. We want to thank her for all her help!!

Planning excellence

My kids (18 & 20) and I had the most amazing 2-week trip to Greece May/June 2023. We were fortunate to have been introduced to Anthony Alagiah, who came highly recommended through a friend and colleague. I’m a researcher by nature, love planning trips and like to make very purposeful choices. What I lacked was local, expert perspective, and felt I wasn’t getting thorough, objective advice from my usual online sources. We had a clear itinerary, with details, contact names and numbers for every step of our trip - everything from start to finish ran smoothly and we felt very well cared for. The hotel choices, tours/guides and restaurant recommendations were excellent. Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime, and the planning from start to finish exceeded our expectations.
