Itinerary

Day 1

On arrival in Athens you will be met by our representatives and English speaking driver ill transfer you by air conditioned luxury transport to your central Athens hotel. You have the rest of what is left of the day to do as you please before the tour starts in earnest. Once you have settled in and freshened up, we suggest making your way to the nearby Plaka, at the foot of the Acropolis, where you can have your first taste of the real Athens. There are also plenty of traditional restaurants and tavernas in the area in which you can find dinner and traditional Greek dancing.

Day 2

After you have had breakfast you will be colleced for a tour of Athens. Travelling by air conditioned coach, your English speaking guide will take you to all of the city's main ancient and modern sites, showing you the contrasts of ancient, mythical, political and modern. The tour includes the best of the modern city Syntagma Square, where parliament sits, and the tomb of the unknown soldier to the Panathenian Stadium, the place of the first Modern Olympic Games in 1896. Drive past the Presidential Palace, government buildings and elegant homes. Get a different view of Athens as you see the Catholic Cathedral, the university the National Library and Omonia Square. The ancient sites which you will be visiting are in distinct contrast to the modern marvels of Athens. The Temple of Zeus begins the start of the ancient section of the tour Then it is on to the Acropolis, the shining jewel that looks over Athens. You will wander around this ancient site, learning of the importance of this ancient and wonderful set of buildings, from the enormity of the Parthenon, to the beauty of the Temple of Athena Nike and the Porch of the Maidens. After this you can visit the Acropolis, filled with antiquies from the site. You will be returned to your hotel early in the afternoon and the rest of the afternoon is yours to do as you please. For the history buffs, a trip to the National Archaeological Museum could be in order, or you could go back to the Plaka for some more wandering and shopping. Maybe find some dinner in one of Athens may international restaurants - you have endless choices ahead of you.

Day 3

After breakfast and check our driver will transfer you in air conditioned comfort to Piraeus for your hydrofoil voyage to Mykonos. Once you arrive in Mykonos you will be met by our representative and taken to your hotel where you will be staying for the next three nights. Here is where the serious fun starts. Mykonos is well known as a cosmopolitan party island and your choices of things to do are endless. You have the next three days to discover just how fun and fascinating this rocky outcrop of an island can really is. Getting orientated in the maze like streets is an adventure in itself. Mykonos has more exclusive boutiques than any other island and they are open late. Designer labels and gold jewellery are found in abundance, as are restaurants of every kind. Find dinner in one of the many restaurants and then maybe go and find a club and dance the night away. It is your time to do as you please.

Day 4

For a small island there is a lot to do in Mykonos. The beaches are found all over the island, from the quieter, more family friendly Platys Yialos, to the happening and club atmosphere of Paradise and Super Paradise, the beaches in Mykonos are stunning and a must do, if anything for the people the beaches attract and the wonders of the clear blue waters. You can either rent a moped, catch a bus or a taxi to get to the beach. Paradise and Super Paradise beaches have clubs and bars nearby. The people watching is particularly good and you can easily spend the day watching people coming off the tourist boats wandering around as you have a souvlaki and a frappe at a waterside cafe. Head back from the port and wander the famous maze like streets, but watch out for Petros the Pelican, one of the many characters who wander the streets by day and night. Once night comes, the party scene heats up. Or you may choose to have a quiet night after a full day of fun.

Day 5

A trip to Mykonos really should include a visit to Delos, the island which is the true heart of the Cyclades Islands and a fascinating half a day trip. Going down to the old port in the morning, take the short ride to Delos, where you will be transported into life as it was over 1000 years ago. Delos is uninhabited, but the ruins that remain are a fascinating insight into one of the most advanced civilisations at the time. Running water, two story homes, decorative streets and temples are found at the remains of this once thriving trading port. As all visitors have to be off Delos by 3.00 pm, on your return to Mykonos town you are free to do as you please, whether you return to your hotel for a rest and a sleep, continue shopping, or dance the night away once again. The Little Venice part of town is particularly beautiful, full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. It is a great place to watch the sun go down over the neighbouring islands while having a cocktail.

Day 6

Today is another travelling day. After breakfast and check out, our representative will transfer you to the port for your hydrofoil journey to Santorini. On arrival at Santorini, you will be greeted by our English speaking representative, who will transfer you to your hotel. This is the jewel in the crown of all Greek Islands, a stunning vista of sheer cliff faces diving into the deep blue sea. There is nothing to compare with the views and the sunsets you will witness as you watch the day go by from anywhere along the caldera. Once you have settled in to your hotel use this evening to head into Thira for a meal on the edge of the caldera, talking your dinner as the sun goes down. It will be an evening to remember.

Day 7

You have the next two days to do as you please. There is the very real possibility that you will not want to leave you hotel balcony and pool due to the spectacular view you have in front of you. Santorini is the perfect place to relax, swim and look out over the Caldera during the day. However, if you are a little more adventurous, after breakfast on your balcony, there is plenty to see and do. Travel to the south of the island by bus, hire car or taxi and discover the black sand beaches, so unique to Santorini. Or take an afternoon trip out up to Oia in the island's north and watch the world's most beautiful sunsets. The island is filled with activities to inspire fun and romance.

Day 8

Why not make today a day to remember, not that sitting in a cliff side pool looking over one of the most spectacular vistas in the world is not memorable, but the chance to go and see the volcano in the centre of the caldera should not be missed. Talk to us about arranging a visit by boat out to the volcano and the nearby hot springs. How many opportunities will you get to see a live volcano? This is your last full day on Santorini, so make the most of it. Dinner at a caldera side restaurant at sunset is once again a must do activity - then dance the evening away in one of Thira's many clubs. It is all up to you.

Day 9

Today is another travelling day. After breakfast and check out, our representative will transfer you to the port for your hydrofoil journey to Heraklion, Crete, home to an amazing array of things to do and see. Once you arrive in Heraklion, our representative will transfer you in luxury to your accommodation, where you will be staying for the next two nights. You can find dinner at a local taverna or restaurant near to your hotel and get an idea of what you would like to do on this amazing island - your options are almost endless.

Day 10

Crete is one of the largest and most populated of the Greek Islands, so your choices of things to do on this amazing island is endless. The option to sit and relax by your hotel's pool is always there, but this is your chance to see some of the most beautiful towns in Greece. Wondering the old towns of Chania or Agios Nikolaos. You can take in the archaeological marvel of Knossos, one of modern civilisation's most ancient sites. The beaches of Crete are as good as any found in the country and a trip to the centre of the island can provide you with a look at traditional Greek life. As this island is so large, ask us about hiring a car for a day to let you see the best of Crete. Make the evening special and find a restaurant with dinner and dancing to celebrate the last day of your very special holiday.

Day 11

After breakfast our driver will pick you up to transfer you to the airport. There you will catch your flight to Athens and connect to your international flight back home.
