Day 1 DELPHI, KALAMBAKA
Begin your journey with a scenic drive through Levadia and the charming village of Arachova, known for its colorful carpets. Arrive at Delphi, nestled at the base of Mount Parnassus and framed by the twin rocks of the Phaedriades. Renowned as the center of the ancient world, Delphi was home to Greece’s most famous oracle and the Pythian Games, held every four years and second in importance only to the Olympics.
Visit the archaeological site (museum not included) and immerse yourself in the cultural and religious significance of this Pan-Hellenic sanctuary.
After your visit, continue to Kalambaka, crossing the fertile Thessalian Plain, often called the granary of Greece. Upon arrival, enjoy a short tour of the village, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Kalambaka.
